The short version

• Be 13 or older to use pssst.
• Use pssst to reach your people — not to harass, spam, or harm anyone.
• You own what you send, and you're responsible for it.
• pssst+ is an optional subscription billed by Apple; you can cancel anytime.
• pssst is for everyday connection, not emergencies.

Who can use pssst

You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you may only use pssst with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms. You also confirm you're not barred from using it under applicable law.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it. Give us accurate information, keep it current, don't impersonate anyone or use someone else's account, and keep it to one account per person.

Your circle

pssst connects you with your closest people. Pairing is mutual — both people agree to connect — and you can remove, mute, or block anyone at any time. Respect the people in your circle: only add people who want to hear from you.

The rules

pssst is built on getting someone's attention. That only works if it's used kindly. You agree not to:

• harass, bully, threaten, or repeatedly pssst someone who doesn't want it;
• send unlawful, hateful, abusive, or non-consensual sexual content;
• spam, scrape, or use pssst for advertising or bulk messaging;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are;
• break, probe, or reverse-engineer the app, or get around blocks, mutes, or rate limits;
• use someone's shared location or information without their consent, or to track or stalk anyone;
• use pssst for anything illegal.

Your content

You keep ownership of the psssts and attachments you create. To run pssst, you give us a limited licence to host, store, and deliver that content to the people you send it to, and to process it for backups and security. You're responsible for what you send and confirm you have the right to send it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Location

If you choose to share your location, you control it through ghost mode and iOS Settings. Don't use other people's shared location to track, harass, or harm them. Location sharing is a convenience for friends, not a surveillance tool.

Notifications

pssst sends push notifications as a core part of how it works. You can manage them in iOS Settings.

pssst+ subscriptions

pssst is free to use. pssst+ is an optional, auto-renewable subscription that unlocks extra features. Pricing is shown in the app and on the App Store.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings, not inside pssst.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, except where a refund is required by law.

Changes to pssst

pssst is evolving. We may add, change, or remove features, and some may be offered as beta and won't always work perfectly. We try not to break things you rely on, but we can't promise every feature stays the same.

Our intellectual property

pssst — its name, logo, design, and software — belongs to Otherdays Studio. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the app as intended. You don't get any rights to our brand or code beyond that.

Third-party services

pssst relies on services from Apple, Supabase, and others. Your use of pssst on Apple devices is also subject to Apple's terms, and Apple isn't responsible for pssst.

Not an emergency service

pssst is for everyday connection. It is not a safety, security, or emergency service, and you shouldn't rely on it where failure could lead to harm. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Disclaimers

pssst is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, or that every pssst will be delivered.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Otherdays Studio won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or messages, arising from your use of pssst. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Indemnity

You agree to cover Otherdays Studio for claims and costs arising from your misuse of pssst or your breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using pssst and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the law, or to protect pssst and the people on it. Sections that should outlast your account — like ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], and disputes will be handled by the courts of [your jurisdiction], unless local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use pssst after a change means you accept the updated terms.
